Alissa Hale Lights Up the Savannah River Takeover

Date: October 11, 2025
Where: Savannah Convention Center — right on the river
What: First Annual Savannah River Takeover: custom trucks, country music, and a full day on the waterfront

Savannah showed up in style — and so did Alissa. On a sun-splashed Saturday that rolled from late morning into the night, the First Annual Savannah River Takeover brought together two great Southern loves: gleaming custom rigs and live country music, all set against the sweeping backdrop of the Savannah River. The all-day festival (11:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m.) took over the Savannah Convention Center, complete with a ribbon-cutting hosted by the Savannah Chamber of Commerce, rows of top-of-the-line custom trucks and cars vying for 70+ trophies, and a packed slate of performances from rising country artists. A riverfront crowd, a country heart

From the first note, Alissa had the waterfront crowd leaning in — families in lawn chairs, gearheads comparing chrome, and Haleyans in their favorite merch all found common ground in the music. The roar of the river, the gleam of show-stoppers on four wheels, the chorus of voices singing along — it all turned into one big Savannah soundtrack.

Highlights from the set

  • A tight, high-energy run that balanced radio-ready hooks with Alissa’s storyteller roots.

  • Fan-favorite sing-alongs that had the lawn swaying and the mezzanine clapping in time.

  • A heartfelt thank-you to Savannah for championing new country voices — and for throwing a party that celebrates both craft and community.

Why this show mattered

Savannah River Takeover wasn’t just a gig — it was a celebration of makers. Builders brought their best, and so did the bands. For Alissa, playing this inaugural event was a chance to meet new listeners, reconnect with traveling Haleyans, and plant a flag in one of the South’s most iconic waterfronts. Savannah's Waterfront

Gratitude (and what’s next)

To everyone who came early, stayed late, and sang loud — thank you. To the organizers and volunteers, thanks for creating a welcoming, well-run first year. And to Savannah: we’ll be back.
